12th Annual Conference on Innovation and Communications Law (CICL)
May 19-20, 2022 in Krems, Austria
The Center of IP, Media and Innovation Law (University for Continuing Education Krems) will host and organize the 12th Annual Conference on Innovation and Communications Law (CICL) on May 19-21 2022 in Krems (Austria).
Launched in 2008, CICL is jointly organized by the University of Turku Faculty of Law (Finland), the University of Eastern Finland Law School, the University of Louisville School of Law (USA), Michigan State University College of Law (USA), Texas A&M University School of Law (USA), the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Szeged (Hungary), and IPR University Center (Finland). Each year, CICL brings together top scholars exploring issues in intellectual property law, communications law, and issues related to the intersection of the two. The annual CICL conference has been held at leading institutions around the world, and new attendees this year will join an already well-established community.
After two years of COVID-19-caused postponement, CICL will return as an in-person conference. We are really looking forward to welcome the community in Austria.
The Hybrid-Afternoon: For those, who cannot join the conference in person, we will have limited time slots during a hybrid session (Day 2 - afternoon). The hybrid session will be held via Zoom. External talks will be streamed to the conference venue; vice-versa the feedback and discussion from in-person participants will be broadcasted to online participants. If you want to give an online-presentation, please indicate your wish in the paper submission form.
The organizers of CICL 2022 would like to invite papers related to the conference theme.. Possible subthemes include, but are not limited to:
